Ingredients:
Dates 250 gms
Butter 175 gms
Flour 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup powdered
Eggs 4
Black Tea 1 cup (brewed)
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Baking soda 1 tsp
Method:
- De seed the dates, cut into small pieces and soak overnight in 1 cup brewed black tea with baking soda.
- Cream the butter and sugar together.
- Beat eggs ( both white and yolk together).
- Add eggs and flour a little at a time to the creamed butter and sugar.
- Add vanilla and dates to the mixture.
- Pour into the baking pan and bake at 180 deg c until done approx 30 to 40 mins.
