Baklawa



BISMILLAH HIR RAHMAN NIR RAHEEM


Serves 4

250 gms flour
250 gms cornflour
250 gms ghee
250 gms sugar
125 ml water
100 gms almonds / walnuts
10 gms crushed pistas
5 gms salt

Method:

Make a dough of flour, water and salt. Roll into very thin sheets and sprinkle with cornflour while rolling. 
Cut the layered pastry dough into pieces. Stuff with crushed almonds/walnuts. 
Top with ghee and bake in the oven at about 200 deg celsius for thirty minutes. '

Whilst the pastry is baking, boil the sugar  and water over a medium flame and make a thick syrup. 
Pour the syrup over the pastry and sprinkle with crushed pistachio.
